1.What are the must-see attractions in Beijing?

The Great Wall at Mutianyu or Badaling, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and the Hutongs are must-visit attractions. Don’t miss the Panda House at the Beijing Zoo if you’re an animal lover.

Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) are the optimal times as the weather is pleasant. Avoid public holiday periods if possible, as major sights can be very crowded.

Be sure to taste Peking Duck, Zhajiang Noodles, Mongolian Hotpot, Beijing Noodles with Soy Bean Paste, and various street foods from the Wangfujing Snack Street. Also, try local delicacies like Jiaozi and Douzhi.

While it’s possible to explore Beijing with a map and guidebook, hiring a guide can be beneficial for a more in-depth experience and to navigate the language barrier.

The number of days you should spend in Beijing depends on your interests and the number of sites you wish to visit. Generally speaking, it is recommended to spend at least three days to visit the city’s main attractions, such as the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
