Our guide will meet you at hotel lobby about 08:30 and drive to Dazu County. It is the birthplace of the amazing Dazu Rock Carvings which were created from the late Tang Dynasty (618~907) to the early Song Dynasty (960~1127). With the theme of Buddhism, Dazu Cliffside carvings are distributed in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan and Shizhuanshan . In 1999, it was listed as world cultural heritage by UNESCO.

We will visit Beishan Stone Carvings, which is also known as North Mountain rock carvings. It is located in the town of Longgang, 1.5KM north of Dazu city.They were built from the first year of Jingfu in Tang dynasty 31st year of Shaoxing in Nansong dynasty,also from the year of 892 to 1162, lasting about 270 years. The 290 sculptures are famous of their delicacy, grace and finely carving. They are showing the religious belief of Buddhism from later Tang to Song dynasty.

After lunch drive to visit Baodingshan Stone Carvings（include shuttle bus & battery car). Baodingshan Stone Carvings were created from 1179 to 1249, and located about 527 meters above sea level. It mainly consists of the Dafowan Rock Carvings Area and Xiaofowan Rock Carvings Area. There are about 10,000 statues of Buddha carved on the 500-meter cliff in the U-shape Dafowan. It is said to be a long narrative mural with plenty of commentary but no repeated content. This is the only Buddhism Daochang that houses huge stone carving in China.

After that we will drive back to Chongqing hotel and service ends.
