Day 2 Porcelain House → Five Great Avenues → St Joseph Cathedral → Jingyuan Garden → Tianjin Departure
Your guide will pick you up at hotel lobby after your breakfast. Start your sightseeing tour at Tianjin’s most striking structure, the Porcelain House (also known as China House). More than 13,000 old Chinese porcelain vases, plates, and bowls, as well as almost 400 million pieces of ancient Chinese pottery chips, adorn this private museum. Afterwards, proceed to the Wudadao Area’s Five Great Avenues, which comprise Chengdu, Munan, Machang, Dali, and Chongqing Dao. If you ride in a carriage or stroll about the streets, you will come across more than two thousand exquisite specimens of variously styled Italian, German, French, Spanish, and British architecture interspersed with historic Chinese villas.
Next, go and visit St. Joseph Catholic Church. It was constructed during the French colonial era and is remarkably well kept. It is one of China’s oldest Catholic cathedrals, and the artwork inside is exquisite and magnificent.
Jingyuan Garden is our final destination for today. It is a Spanish-style mansion that was once Puyi, the last Chinese Emperor,’s home. You may get an insight into “The Last Emperor’s” life by taking a stroll around the home.
After the trip, you will be taken to the train station, airport, or cruise port in Tianjin so you can catch your next flight, train, or cruise.
